Liquid lovers is a series of fused glass sculptures at the intersection form and formless. Drawing from tables found in domestic environments, they re-inteprent the relationship between function and non-function, utile and useless. The melted glass allows the ever flowing qualities of bodies of water to be captured in these seamingly static sculptures. Inspired by the amorfous qualities of glass and the liquid nature of water they represent naids the female mythological nymph creatures found next to springs, streams, fountains and other bodies of fresh water. Just like the folklore stories of such nymphs, where they steal the voices of those who treat them with disrespect, one has to move around them with care, slowing down and embracing their fragility.
